Hello,
My name is Daisy Garcia, I fell in love with The Second Child in the fall of 2014 when my family & I moved to Chicago from Arizona. My children have grown up visiting this little boutique, and for years before I began working with the amazing women of The Second Child, this place felt like home like it does for so many of our multi-generational customers. To say I feel beyond blessed to take on this beloved icon feels like such an understatement and an absolute dream.
I come knowing how important it is for so many because of who it was created by; a woman beloved and respected by so many, and operated by a special team of women who have worked here for decades. A team who know your children from the time you shopped for baby shower gifts to the time they helped pick out a tie for their 8th grade graduations. That is the magic of The Second Child that I hope to continue for decades to come.
The Second Child remains a family business, and as you can see I have my hands full
as a mother of four beautiful children. Don't be surprised to see my teens at the counter; or my little girls sorting through hangers! I am a proud CPS mama, and resident of Lincoln Park. If you see us on the street please say hello! We are thrilled to continue Amy's legacy and hope to make her and our beautiful community proud.
